We are “Continuous Improvement Fanatics”!
LightWorks llc was founded in 2023 by Pete Chan after 33 years of helping major corporations unlock their potentials. After rising through to senior leadership roles, Pete realized that leadership words and actions does not lead to results. The results only come when these words and actions are connected with the work that takes place everyday, through the actions of the workers closest to the work. There is a Japanese term often used to remind us where we need to focus, the term is “gemba”, and is defined simply as “the real place.” Japanese news reporters often refer to be reporting from the gemba when at a crime scene. Indeed, it is in the gemba where value is either created or destroyed, the scene of the “crime”, if you will.
The vision for LightWorks is to leverage our broad and deep cross-functional experiences across critical industries of Medical Devices, Pharma, and Nuclear Power to help organizations focus on the gemba, solve the value destroying crimes, and put in place an operating culture of excellence to both prevent value destruction and enable those closest to the action, in real-time, detect when issues may be rising up, and take steps to prevent the value destruction.
We are so passionate about continuous improvement that we developed our own proprietary methodology we call taking an EaSieRTM Approach. The EaSieRTM Approach has been on our minds since the early 1990’s when Pete was working with Jack Welsh’s GE as they lead the way to drive improvements through re-engineering efforts of all their major processes. It was quite an exciting time to develop the processes that worked and removed the ones that did not. As a result, and through a life-time of improvements, we have now made it EaSieRTM for you to get results from improvement efforts.
